Use of Artificial Intelligence at VALITICA
At VALITICA, we use high-performance artificial intelligence (AI) systems to deliver predictions and analyses related to physical performance and sports injury prevention. These systems are developed in accordance with the AI Regulation (EU) 2024/1684 and are subject to internal evaluation and oversight to ensure transparency, fairness, traceability, and safety.
We apply AI to support clubs and athletes in predicting injuries through advanced analysis of thousands of data points from various sources. This technology carries significant responsibility, which is why we adhere to the highest ethical standards, in line with the aforementioned Regulation.
Fairness
Our AI is designed to serve all athletes equally, without favour or discrimination based on physical condition, medical history, or other factors. We ensure that models are trained on diverse and representative data sets to avoid biases that could disadvantage any particular profile.
Reliability and Safety
Every prediction provided by VALITICA undergoes rigorous quality control. We employ robust methodologies and continuously update our models to ensure they are reliable, safe, and effective in real-world, high-performance sporting environments.
Transparency and Explainability
Clubs and coaching staff must understand why the system recommends certain actions. That’s why we provide clear explanations about the variables influencing each prediction, promoting trust and the responsible use of information.
Accountability and Responsibility
Behind every automated decision is a human team that monitors, validates, and takes responsibility. VALITICA does not replace medical or technical expertise — it complements it. Our role is to offer data-driven support, not to dictate decisions.
Privacy and Security
We handle athletes’ personal data with the utmost confidentiality. We strictly comply with the GDPR and apply data protection by design principles. No data is used without explicit consent and the appropriate data processing agreement.
Humanity
We believe technology should enhance human performance and well-being, not dehumanise it. VALITICA is designed to care for the player as a person, anticipating risks without reducing them to a set of metrics.
Social and Environmental Benefits
Our mission is to reduce the negative impacts caused by injuries, extend athletes’ professional careers, and optimise medical resources. In doing so, we contribute to a more sustainable, human-centred approach to sport that prioritises the well-being of all its stakeholders.
VALITICA certifies that its system complies with the requirements of Regulation (UE) 2024/1689 of The European Parliament and the Council as of June 13, Article 43 and Annex IV, concerning high-risk AI systems, and commits to maintaining this assessment up to date on an annual basis.
